Egon Gabler
Clarinet Concerto No. 3 in D minor · Horn Concerto in B flat · Konzertstück for clarinet

1876–1959 · Friederike Roth, clarinet · Robert Langbein, horn · Philharmonie Baden-Baden · Pavel Baleff

Late-Romantic wind concertos are rare – which makes this discovery all the greater: Gabler, himself a clarinettist in the royal orchestra of Hanover, combines Wagner's endless melody with an insider's knowledge of the instrument.
